In the heart of the tropical forests of Laos, trees gorged with sunlight and rain during the monsoon season acquire incomparable strength and beauty. Rosewood, teak and ebony have, since ancient times, kept Laotian sculptors supplied with a medium which kept pace with the noblest imagination.
These precious woods, which have long been the exclusive domain of cult objects and pagodas, are today the basic materials of the Mandalay Collection. |
